Here is a little gif of Dottie in 8-bit style. It's very very small!

Dottie
DOTTIE
Dottie is a young 8-year-old girl. She is an only child with very wealthy parents who were always away at work. Dottie spends most of her time with her maid/nanny Suzie and her dog, Dot (named after her). She loves playing tricks on both her maid and her dog, and she loves everything pink. She owns a lot of pink shoes, pink dresses, and pink toys. She loves cake and candy more than anything else, especially when it's pink. In their big mansion, they had a big red alarm button that would send off alarms all through the house, Dottie got told specifically to only press the button if she or the house or the nanny were in danger. One day Dottie decided she would like to hear the alarm, she had never heard it before and, well, she could just explain to Suzie that it was an accident. So the then pressed the button and very loud alarms went off all throughout the house. Suzie ran from the other end of the house to see what was wrong and Dottie found it so funny she did it again the next day and the next. Until one day a strange man knocked on the door and Dottie went to answer it, the man held a gun and told her to let him in, Dottie remembered the alarm and ran to press the button, only this time the alarms didn't go off, Suzie had turned them off because she was tired of Dottie playing with the button.

Critique
Today in class we had a peer critique session and this is my feedback:
The shape of my character is good and the size and age, It is cute and the hair would look very nice in 3D animations, The eyes are also very nice and sparkly.
On the other hand, I have to add a bit more straight lines to my character as it currently only has one straight line. I will also understandably have to change the dress of my character and take away a lot of the frills as it will take a lot more time to model in Maya and simple is better.

Little Audrey
For the 3D animation project and Animation History I wanted to do a little girl character.
At first I wanted to do a younger version of Alice In Wonderland (1951), Or Betty Boop (1932) shape of her head I found especially interesting. Then I found a series called Little Lulu (1935) which i thought was very cute and from her i discovered the series that would replace her in the future called Little Audrey (1947). I really thought she was very aesthetically pleasing and her story was very cute too. Therefore she is the one I picked for these assessments.
